My Sorted Affair was tapped to produce a wonderfully crafted suprise birthday party for Mrs. Allison Perkins-Thomas at the Hourglass Kitchen and Bar here in Bakersfield, Ca.

She danced the night away with the soulful sounds of Darren Gholston and enjoyed friends, family and wonderful atmosphere....We love you Al!

My Sorted Affair Loves "A Soolip Wedding"

Left to Right: Alice Hu of Alice Hu Photography, Myself, Lorena Musselman of Palomaya Events and Amanda Sanders of A House of Flowers

Paula Estes of Petalos Di Pauli and I at "A Soolip Wedding"

Sorry all that it has taken me so long to blog... The wedding season is now in full swing and with all the shows, events, and weddings things got a little out of hand.

Soolip was at the beautiful Vibiana this year and was exquisite. With over 65 high end vendors, I was able to see the newest ideas in areas such as floral design, catering, and stationery. I also met some amazing people.

Paula Dulan Estes of Petalos Di Pauli was such a pleasure to meet and to find out she was a fellow Cal Poly Mustang just sent me over the moon!

I also met Lorena Musselman of Palomaya Events located in Orange County and specializing in Latin Wedding celebrations and events.

All in all we had a wonderful time and will surely do this again next year.

My Sorted Affair Loves NEW YORK!!!!

No not the cheesey reality show on VH1... But really NEW YORK CITY. I had the pleasure of visiting a few weeks ago...Mostly pleasure but I made sure I had something to blog about.. I was so taken with the city and it's ever moving spirit and creative vibe... Have you ever gone somewhere completely different from everything you have known and felt completely at home?? That is what I felt when I was there..new yet somehow familiar.

I have felt the importance of creativity and saw how important design was...however expressed. I saw this in the food, the way people dressed, and most of all in the way people lived.
